Childhood is that time in your life when you can do just about whatever the fuck you want, and not suffer any serious consequences. There is a lot we can learn from children. This makes little sense as they spend a lot of their time learning from us. So what’s actually going on here? Who is teaching who?
It has come to my attention that kids seem to have a lot more fun than me. Not always, but generally. Naturally, this is a reason for some serious jealousy. The point is that if they are having more fun than us, then it is us who should be learning from them.
Yet if they are the ones who teach us then surely they are above us. This is the real problem with the world. Kids are superior in just about every single way. They don’t stink when they get sweaty. They don’t have to shave. They can wear whatever they want. They can get away with a lot more than we can. They are allowed to stare at people. The are allowed to make faces at people. They can dance in public without being shy. They make friends with other kids really easily. Not to mention the fact that they can grow teeth. Growing teeth itself is a pretty awesome superpower.
So if kids are so awesome and they can grow teeth, then how come adults control the world?
Time to give kids the steering wheel. Drop all the responsibility on them. Let them make money to keep us alive and let them worry about things such as insurance or Putin’s next move. In the meantime, we can relax in our newly discovered innocence and live child-like life, while the kids work for us! With any luck, we will be able to grow teeth also!
